What we collect, and why
RealShaadi collects personal data for exactly one purpose: helping verified people find a life partner. This includes: your phone number and email (account security and verification); profile details you choose to share (name, date of birth, community, education, career, family details, photos); optional horoscope details; verification documents (government ID, selfie, education/income proof) used solely to compute your trust level; and usage records (interests, messages, payments) needed to run the service.
Consent
We process your data only with your consent, given at signup. You may withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account, after which your profile is removed from the platform and your identifiers (phone, email) are erased from our systems.
Who can see what
Your profile (without contact details) is visible to other verified members. Your phone number is revealed only to paying members whom you have not blocked, and every reveal is logged. Verification documents are visible only to our moderators, never to other members. Photos marked private stay hidden until you accept an interest.
Storage & sharing
Data is stored on secured servers with photos and documents in a private, access-signed store. We do not sell your data. We share it only with processors required to operate the service (SMS/WhatsApp delivery, payment processing via Razorpay) and when required by law.
Your rights
You may access, correct, or erase your data at any time from your profile settings. On deletion, your account is anonymised immediately; limited records (payment and verification audit trails) are retained where the law requires.
Grievances
Grievance Officer: support@realshaadi.com. We aim to respond within 7 days, and you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India as provided by the DPDP Act.
